Conversion API (CAPI) refers to server-to-server APIs that transmit first-party conversion data from a website's backend to ad platforms — Meta Conversions API, Google Enhanced Conversions, LinkedIn Conversions API, TikTok Events API. CAPI bypasses browser-side limitations imposed by ITP, ATT, ad-blockers, and cookie deprecation, restoring attribution accuracy and ad-platform optimization quality. Implementation requires hashed first-party data (email, phone) and server-side event firing.
